Although Mohit Marwah, the celebrity nephew of Anil and Boney Kapoor and cousin of Sonam and Arjun Kapoor, is new on ears, the youngster has already made a fine impression among the industry wallas.
Mohit made his B-town's entry with Dharma Productions' short film 'Strangers in the Night' directed by Shakun Batra (of Ek Main Aur Ek Tu fame) and presented by Chivas Studio.
Having caught everyone's attention in the film, Mohit Marwah was also the cynosure of all eyes as he made his presence felt at producer-director Karan Johar's birthday party last year.
Not the one to harp on his lineage, Mohit having studied at Theatre School in New York for 2 years was spotted by Karan Johar ,who was very keen to cast him in the short film in which the actor put up an ovation-gaining performance and ever since there's been no looking back.
Revealed a trade source "Mohit Marwah has a certain X-factor to him that you see in very few actors, he's inherited the Kapoor good looks and is a trained actor who takes his job seriously.
Karan Johar and Shakun Batra have been all praise for him and were blown away with his performance in Strangers in the Night...He has been approached by several filmmakers but he is being cautious about the films he signs on."
Adding that, "Mohit despite not having made a formal entry into the industry is also a hit on the social media forum with everyone asking 'whose that guy" - the buzz only goes to prove that he is a star in the making."
