The year 2012 has proven to be a watershed year for Viacom18 Motion Pictures. Not only has the studio given critically acclaimed, box office blockbusters like Kahaani, OMG - Oh My God, Gangs of Wasseypur and Son of Sardaar getting majors at the popular entertainment awards.

The icing on the cake is the studio's successful outing at the prestigious National Awards 2013 where Viacom18's films won an impressive 5 awards -  2 Awards for Gangs of Wasseypur, 2 Awards for Kahaani and 1 Award for Oh My God. The laurels were awarded as:

BEST SCREENPLAY: Sujoy Ghosh for Kahaani (Screenplay Writer - Original) (Hindi) Bhavesh Mandalia and Umesh Shukla for OMG Oh My God (Screenplay Writer - Adapted) (Hindi)

BEST EDITING: Namrata Rao for Kahaani (Hindi)

BEST SOUND RECORDING: Gangs of Wasseypur

SPECIAL JURY AWARD: Nawazuddin Siddiqui for Kahaani and Gangs of Wasseypur
