Way back in 2007 Aneez Bazmee created a storm with multi-starrer 'Welcome'. And now he hopes that its sequel will be welcomed with similar success...
Yesterday at Hotel JW Marriott (Mumbai), the filmmaker along with his cast announced the launch of his latest comedy caper 'Welcome Back'. While the film repeats Anil Kapoor, Nana Patekar and Paresh Rawal among others from the original film, the latest version has John Abraham and Shruti Haasan as the lead pair.
Talks are that Amitabh Bachchan will reprise the role played by Feroz Khan as the RDX in the first film. Unlike Khan who had brief role in 'Welcome', in the film's sequel Big B's character will have more scope on screen and it will be quite different.
To be produced by Firoz A Nadiadwala, the shooting of the film is slated to start next month.
Earlier 'Welcome Back' Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif successfully won hearts and box office collection, now let's see whether John and Shruti will be able to take forward the film's hit status further...
We 'Welcome Back' Bazmee's team and wish them good luck!
