Clarifying that the film is not actually a sequel of 'Masti', Aftab stated that the story and situations of the story are completely different while only the genre is same. He said that the latest project is grand, grander and grandest - its much more crazy and much more funny.

Talking about working again with his 'Mast' gang, Aftab revealed that in fact nothing much has changed and while working on 'Grand Masti' they felt that they had worked together quite recently. On other note, the actor added that they have become more wiser and much more matured. On the whole he remarked that they all had a blast shooting 'Grand Masti'.
