The actress who was extremely excited to work with one of Bollywood's most sought after directors, studied the creative maverick's previous films taking inspiration from the leading ladies of his most memorable work, especially Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in 'Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam' and 'Devdas' and Madhuri Dixit as Devdas' Chandramukhi.
