Joining the likes of Hollywood icons namely Cindy Crawford, Drew Barrymore, Anna Nicole Smith and Paris Hilton is our very own Desi Gal - Priyanka Chopra. Guess what it is for???
Well, GUESS is the name - the international power brand.
Priyanka reportedly has become the first Bollywood actress in the history of Indian Cinema to be roped in by GUESS as the brand's newest face. Apart from being their most ambitious campaign yet, the former Miss World has been shot by none other than Grammy Award winner and three time Academy nominee Bryan Adams, who goes behind the lens to capture the "Exotic" beauty in her glamorous free spirited best in a series of black and white photographs for the campaign, having earlier worked with the likes of Sting, Shania Twain, Mick Jagger, Rod Stewart, Celine Dion, Amy Whinehouse, Lenny Kravitz and the Queen of England.
Expressing her happiness over the photoshoot, tweeted PC, "I'm so proud to be the next #GuessGirl. It's a legacy of beauty for 30 years..Thank u @bryanadams and @GUESS for making this such a fab shoot."
In the campaign, Priyanka portrays a movie star at home in an elegant Mediterranean villa wearing some of the season's most stand-out dresses.
An elated GUESS girl, Priyanka Stated, "For as long as I can remember, GUESS has been at the epicenter of fashion for women. I am honored to be face of the GUESS brand and this iconic holiday campaign. GUESS is aspirational, inspirational and so relatable to women from across the world and I think this is a remarkable opportunity which in its own way, erases boundaries and makes the world a smaller place. When you look good, you feel great...and to me, that's what Paul Marciano captured in these pictures and what GUESS is all about."
Apart from Priyanka Chopra being one of the most celebrated personalities on the global platform and the first Indian recording artist in the US with major mainstream appeal, her picturesque face and hourglass body coupled with an attitude to die for made her the perfect match for everything GUESS has come to epitomize over the years.
On choosing PC, Paul Marciano, Creative Director GUESS said, "Priyanka's confidence, strength and sensuality reflect the qualities I always look for in a model. Priyanka Chopra reminds me of Sophia Loren and the top actresses of the 1950s. With the Indian movie industry exploding on a global stage, and GUESS having a brand presence in 87 countries, we could not have found a better global brand ambassador. Choosing Priyanka reinforces our celebration of multi-talented, dynamic and accomplished women."
