The illuminated evening

It was a grand assembly of Bollywood stars belonging to various genres. It was the musical launch of the much awaited ‘Jodhaa Akbar’, directed and produced by Ashutosh Gowarikar.

The grand gala function to mark the audio launch held at Grand Hyatt, Kalina, Mumbai, late Wednesday evening, on January 9.

The musical score by AR Rahman for the period film has been released under the newly launched UTV Music label. The music wizard has recreated the essence and opulence of the Moghul era.

While the stars of the movie Aishwarya Rai and Hrithik Roshan and the star of the event A.R. Rahman were the centre of attraction, there were many stars that illuminated the evening.

Amitabh Bachchan, Sonu Nigam, Javed Akhtar, Akbar Khan, Zayed Khan, Ashutosh Gowarikar, Hrithik’s wife Suzanne Khan, Shatrughan Sinha, Kulbushan Kharbanda, Raza Murad, among others graced the function.

The highlight of the function was the speeches of the stars of the movie on the film and their respective characters in the film.
