Best Feature film award for Devaki at ashevi lle Film festival, NC. USA

Presented by Mr K. D. Singh has bagged the best feature film award at the Asheville film festival in North Carolina. USA. In this festival Devaki takes on George Cloony with Perizaad and Suman Ranganathan and comes out a winner.

The Film Devaki is inspired by the true story of Devaki Bai reported by Deepak Tiwari of the week magazine in the issue dated 4th Jan 2003.

Devaki was sold for 5000/- Rupees in an open auction in Pandhana sub division of Dist Khandwa of Madhya Pradesh. The Maha panchayat Panchaganga that organised this sale of Tribal women was ironically inaugurated by the Minister of Fisheries of Madhya Pradesh Mr Hiralal Silawat.
