Eminent writer and journalist Cho Ramaswamy, editor of Thughlaq magazine, released the book titled ‘The Name Is Rajinikanth’. The book written by Dr. Gayathri was received by Soundarya Rajinikanth in a function held in Hotel Taj Connemara, Chennai, on March 6.

The launch of the book on the life of superstar was graced by the presence of M. Saravanan (AVM) and K.D. Karthikeyan (former director CBI).

Dr. Gayathri Srikanth thanked everyone including the star for helping her to write this book. The book, priced at Rs 490, has 375 pages with pictures. Around 20,000 copies of the book have hit the stands.

The author has compiled many interesting information about the superstar from his childhood, his rise to the top, his spiritual bent, his rapport with co-stars like Kamal Haasan. She has also written about the possibility of Rajini’s entry into politics.

The book will soon be translated into Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi. There will also be a special translation for the fans of Rajini in Japan.
