Ravi K Chandran is without doubt one of the  biggest names in Motion Picture cinematography, with such brilliant  films like Black, Koi Mil Gaya, Dil Chahata Hai, Yuva, and many others to his credit. He spent four years as an understudy to veteran cameraman Ramchandra Babu, and thereafter started working in Malayalam films.

After 1990, he entered the world of Mumbai's movies with  brilliant films like  'Kabhi Na Kabhi', 'Saat  Rang Ke Sapne' and 'Major Saab', and one of his earlier films, Virasat, was indeed a true visual delight and a big international success.  Ravi K Chandran has won several awards for his work on huge repertoire of films.
