From the original 'Golmaal' from where the film is inspired, your character is the additional. What is the follow back of your characte?
I have nothing to follow. Basically it's the script which is written I relied on that but like you said the basic idea of Golmaal is the
interaction between Ajay and Abhishek and the original even the girl don't have anything much to do. But it's being rewritten, it's
In what way the role is different from what you have done so far in Bollywood?
Well.. My last film houseful 2 is more of a
westernize look and the story was based out in London. It's an Indian story based on a village in India. The character which I am
playing Sania Bachchan is a very earthy character. I think out of the lots of the character in the film, she is the most down to earth
Rohit has a set working style.. how did you cope with it?
Rohit likes rehearsals. he has a set of Assistant Director's who
does everything including the positioning of each and every character their timings, walking, where they stand, the focus point along
with the camera person. But he actually liked it everything organized before actors walked into the sets. When we reach the set he
actually shows the rehearsal what he did with the AD's and expect us to follow. I think he has a particular idea and liked actors to
What difference you found in Rohit with other comedy film directors like Sajid Khan and Aneeze Bazmee?
A:Aneeze bazmee is one of the seniors of the industry. He is more into what is written and he takes little improvisation from the actors. Sajid is more
spontaneous. He takes inputs from the actors. He is an encyclopedia. In houseful 2 we hardly referred what was written. Specially that
'Aeee.." thing. Rohit is very much sticking to the script and like to do rehearsal. He is very punctual on sets. He likes starting early.
How challenging was your role?
Not too much...it was not challenging. It wasn't the character which needed lot of homework.
Are you a bol bachchan in real life?
I am not a bol bachchan in real life. I can be a chatter box but with very few people.
What makes you to choose such movies?
I guess the fun emotional universal appeal and even audience also like such movies.
How is Abhishek as a co star ?
Abhishek is like a kid...hahahha... he is lot of fun. He is a livewire on set. The day he was not shooting there is a drop in the energy level. He
is a prankster and you don't know whom he will catch and make bakra. He plays pranks mostly with the crew. My antenna was alert because
I have being working with the great prankster from the industry like Salman, Akshay and Ajay. I have luck of working with all the
prankster in the industry. We all the actors used to play a guessing game and Abhishek a sole looser. In the game he used to argue till
he win so at the end we used to say "accha baba lelo points you win"
Are you satisfied as an actor?
Not really. I am an actor and we
need character satisfaction also. But only in commercial format as at this point of time I would like to reach out to the number of
audience and commercial film help me to do that. I still look for character which gives me satisfaction as an actress.
Do you regret as
all the character you did was not character role?
No.. why would I regret when I have three back to back 100cr profit films and that to
in three and a half years. It's really good luck and fortune.
Would you like to do heroine oriented role like vidya is doing?
mind doing such role until its well written and well packaged and its entertaining.
Do you compare your graph in Hindi and south ?
In Hindi its still a baby steps.. I can't compare. Probably after few years I may do.
What difference you found in south and bollywood
working style ?
Here its more of a westernized functioning. I think it's the style of functioning nothing else.
Bol Bachchan could be your
hatrick on Bollywood's wicket?
Keeping my finger crossed. Everybody is asking and there is so much pressure so I don't think about it.
