Life Ki Toh Lag Gayi - Jazzing Soothing With All The Zing..
IndiaGlitz  [Saturday, April 14, 2012]

The music of Life Ki Toh Lag Gayi is a salute to the fusion of Indian and Western instruments.

First timer Vinay Jaiswal goes by the theme and feel of the film which is a rip-roaring affair..

The songs are refreshing as they add zing.. Life Ki Toh Lag Gayi has the 'in' thing attached to it which gives the listeners a rare moment of pepping foot tapping sound and indulging glory..

1. Deboshree - Listen here

Music Director: Vinay Jaiswal & Pradeep Kotlana

Lyrics: Vinay Jaiswal

Singer: Nitin Bali

Deboshree is a soft love ballad turned into a rock song. Singer Nitin Bali with his deep voice has come out with all the emotions in the right rhythm. The song is gentle and pleasing to the ears and Nitin brings out the emotions of the jilted lover to a hit. The guitar and the violin in the background add depth to the song. The lyrics add fire to the song. It has repeat value and will make a nice hearing on a long drive.

2. Haryana Ke Sher -Listen here

Along with a Remix Version

Singer: Daler Mehndi

Daler mehndi returns to bollywood with this song. The singer with his high pitched voice brings out the Punjabi flavor to the hilt in his signature style. The addition of Rap in Hindi is innovative and the bhangra beats bring out a new variation in the song. It's an altogether foot tapping number where you would want to hit the dance floor. The dhols of Punjab bring out the earthy flavor to the song. It's a situational and humourous number. Daler definitely steals the show here.

Next the remix version is slightly different than the original version. Sung by Daler himself there is the addition of Shehnai and flute and makes it very entertaining. This one does not have the Punjabi flavor but the percussion in this song takes it altogether to another level. A nice combo of hip hop and rap as well, the song has a lovely rhythm and a signature tune. The heightened racy number is catchy and will be a popular dance track.

3. Galiyan - Listen here

Singer: Suraj Jagan

A serious number Galiyan is situational number that can be used as a background song. The strums of the guitar and the light piano in the background add to it. The lyrics are mind boggling and Suraj Jagan's emotional rendering takes it to a crescendo. Suraj's voice has different variations and makes the song enjoyable. This is certainly not the regular bollywood fare. Suraj is certainly magical in this number and will have a repeat value.

4. Zindagi - Listen here

Singer: Suraj Jagan

A soothing number Zindagi is one number you would want to listen when you are relaxing with a book and a cup of coffee. The gentle strumming in the background sounds like the gentle breeze in the evenings. Suraj Jagan's deep husky voice slowly sweeps you off your feet. A slow number it make you unwind after a tired day and makes you want for more.

5. Saja E Maut - Listen here

Singer: Vinay Jaiswal

Saja E Maut with its thumping beats is one number that will be popular amongst the younger college going crowd. Vinay Jaiswal voice is energetic and makes you feel as if you are listening to some rock band and not Bollywood music. The lyrics blend well with the tune.s and Vinay's voice brings out the variations in the music.

6. Mumbai Life line Instrumental - Listen here

The instrumental number is a perfect retro number. The song transports you well into the 70's era. Even though it is only a minute and a half in length it's faced pace and has an unusual combination of drums, trumpets and guitar. A foot tapping number it is one number that you wish would go on and on. Definitely not a run on the mill kind of music.

7. Life Ki Toh Lag Gayi - Listen here

Singer: Suraj Jagan

Lastly the title track by Suraj Jagan Once again combined with heavy metal is a very rip roaring number. The heavy beats of the drums and the guitar in the background merges with the crowd. A perfect rock number, the song helps break the soft tones of the other numbers. It is similar to a lot of rock number but yet will take you into a trance Suraj Jagan has amazing talent and he can certainly work wonders with his deep voice.

Overall: The album is a unique attempt by Vinay Jaiswal though there has been extensive use of the guitar here. Vinay will surely go places from here once the film releases.
