1. Rokda
Music: Abhishek-Akshay
Lyrics: Akshay Verma
Singer: Akshay Verma and Aditi Singh Sharma
Album starts with song Rokda sung by Akshay Verma & Aditi Singh Sharma. Nice composition with energetic rhythm, beats and lyrics. It describes Vicky's (Ayushman Khurana's) dreams and desires. Fresh and breezy track with the strumming of the guitar in the background makes it fun and hummable number
2. Kho Jaane De
Singers: Clinton Cerejo and Aditi Singh Sharma
Lyrics: Juhi Chaturvedi
"Kho Jaane De", a litlting song sung by Clinton Cerejo & Aditi Singh Sharma. Clinton's husky voice adds to the beat of the guitar and the tinkle of the piano and the drums in the background. Aditi's accompaniment raises the song to another level.
3. Rum & Whisky
Singer: Akshay Verma
Lyrics: Kusum Verma
Rum Whisky an item number with John Abraham and Ayushman Khurana is a typical dance number with the heavy Punjabi beats in the background. Akshay Verma's has tweaked the song with his typoical Punjabi accent. This is certainly one of the songs that will be on the dance floors after Vicky Donor has earned its money and plaudits. While Akshay has been soft in the earlier numbers here he has simply let himself loose. The fusion of the dhols and the trance sound is just so effortless. Watch out for this
number it's going to be a huge hit in the party circuits.
3.Pani Da Rang (Male & Female Versions)
Singer: Ayushman Khurana , Sukanya Purkayastha
Lyrics: Ayushman Khurana, Rochak Kohli
Pani Da Rang has been sung in both the male version by Ayushman Khurana and the female version separately by Sukanya Purkayastha.
RJ turned Vj turned actor Ayushman Khurana who debuts with this film is also making his debut as a singer with this film. Ayushmann Khurrana has promises of a singer-actor withj this song. The female version is also a soft, slow interesting number and in contrast to Ayushman's numbers fast beats.
4. Mar Jayian (romantic and sad version)
Singers: Vishal Dadlani, sunidhi Chauhan , Bann
Lyrics: Swanand Kirkire
Mar Jayian (Romantic) sung by Vishal Dadlani & Sunidhi Chauhan is a romantic song with a trance like feel to it. One will notice that Music Director's Abhishek-Akshay have used the guitar to their fullest in their music but the song comes across as a little too heavy on the ears. However the sad version sung by Bann makes an interesting listening. It is soulful and will have a repeat value.
5. Chaddha
Singer: Mika Singh
Lyrics: Vijay Maurya
"Chaddha" sung by Mika Singh is the final track of the album and ends off with a bang. The song is based on the Dr Chaddha, owner of the sperm donor bank, played by Annu Kapoor in the film. Mika Singh gives full justice to this cheeky number with his puns and right insinuations. He is effortless in this number.
Overall a fun filled album which has great repeat value. Songs have great scope to be played at parties and weddings. The Punjabi twang, accompanied by the guitar and the drums and dhols in most of the songs adds up to it. |
