Taking cue from some real life happenings and an element of fiction comes Raju Chand produced and Faisal Saif directed 'Jigyaasa - Woman On The Top' that attempts at narrating an issue based theme in a commercial format.
How many times have you heard about middle class girls coming with dreams in their eyes to make BIG in the world of Bollywood? Practically on a weekly basis! And how many of these actually succeed? A small percentage of these girls!
 But Jigyaasa Mathur [Hrishita Bhatt] wanted to be different!
She didn't want to be on of those thousands of girls who formed a major part of the percentage who go back to their homes dejected, disappointed, and unsuccessful. In fact she wanted to be a part of that miniscule, yet existing percentage of girls who achieve what they have set out for.
Even if that means throwing away one’s values, one's principals!
A middle class girl, she belonged to a respectable middle class family and lived with her mother Malini Mathur [Varsa Usgaonkar], a school teacher. She was innocent yet dreamt that she had it in her to make it to the top. And soon she realized that the only way to be there was to sell everything that she ever had. And that's not just her values, principals and teachings. It's much more than that...her own body!
 She had the talent, willpower and ambition, but that didn't seem to be sufficient enough to give her what she aspired for. But as soon as she combined the power of her own self to these traits, things started falling in place for her.
She became what she wanted to be - a SUPERSTAR! But in course of her journey towards stardom, she met many distinct people who showed her the sleazier, the uglier and the horrific side of name, fame and glory. Because behind every great success story, there are millions of soul-stirring tales to be told.
