In the early 90s, there was a sudden splurge in the campus movies being made following the success of films like 'Dil', 'Jaan Tere Naam' and 'Khiladi'. The momentum slowed down towards the end of the decade with the genre becoming almost extinct in the 21st century as hardly a film or two based on campus lives are being made in Bollywood every year.
2007 now sees a campus film coming from the production house of Subhash Ghai that goes by the name of 'Good Boy Bad Boy'. He splits up the college into two halves - One for the GOOD, another for BAD!
Though it was quite obvious that Rajan would get into the 'good' half of the college wheras Raju would lead straight into the 'bad' half, the obvious didn't quite happen. As luck would have it, their files get swapped.
And lo! Rajan finds himself amidst the bad crowd while Raju is trapped amongst everyone in the college who is good.
