Simran will make a great come back playing the wife of the Barber, which was done by Meena in the original.

The new movie, which will be remade with suitable changes for the Tamil audiences will be co produced by Seven Arts and K Balachander's Kavithalaya.

Sreenivasan was recently in Chennai to show the original movie to Rajinikanth, his friend and senior at  Adyar film Institute, where they studied together.
