The Batman Returns actress inherited the building bug from her contractor father, and she's never happier than when she is working with her power tools.

She tells Empire magazine, ""I love building things. I redesigned and built the entire facade of a fireplace. I'll just go into Home Depot and ask the guys how you do it. They'll look at me like I have three heads. I built a deck. I built a playhouse for the kids out of old shutters... I've built all sorts. I get power tools for Christmas and birthdays.

""(My dad) had a workshop in our garage... He'd be working in there and he'd give me a piece of wood and a hammer and I would just go out there and make stuff.""
