Renowned Hollywood filmmaker Ridley Scott's 'Prometheus' will release in 2D and 3D in India on June 8 in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.

Ridley Scott who reinvented the action film genre with blockbusters such 'Alien' and 'Gladiator' offers his signature brand of action, thrills and scares and much more with 'Prometheus'.

The film marks Ridley's return to directing epic films and stars an all-power cast headed by Charlize Theron (Hancock) , Noomi Rapace (Sherlock Holmes), Michael Fassbender (X Men: First Class), Logan Marshall-Green, Idris Elba and Guy Pearce.

With 'Prometheus', Scott creates a groundbreaking mythology, in which a team of explorers discover a clue to the origins of mankind on Earth which leads them on a thrilling journey to the darkest corners of the universe. There, they must fight a terrifying battle to save the future of the human race.

Set in the late 21st century, the story centers on the crew of the spaceship Prometheus as they follow a star map discovered among the remnants of several ancient Earth civilizations. Led to a distant world and an advanced civilization, the crew seeks the origins of humanity, but instead discovers a threat that could lead to the extinction of the human race.

Filming took place almost entirely on practical sets and on locations in Canada, England, Iceland, Spain, and Scotland. The film was shot entirely using 3D cameras.
