The extended promo of Part II of Anurag Kashyap's much appreciated mafia/gang-lord film 'Gangs of Wasseypur' has been conveniently chopped during the theatrical run, hence robbing thousands of his fans and followers of seeing what was in store for them in rest of the story.

"It was plain shocking", says a film aficionado, "I waited till the end credit titles came to an end. However to my dismay, there was no promo at all. After an intriguing end to the first half, there was a caption that came as 'To Be Continued....'.

I had also read in various reports that the trailer of Part II would be shown at the end of first part.

I then checked out another theatre to see if the promo was being played but the result was just the same." Obviously, no one has a clue of what went wrong. Says a source attached to the film, "We are still trying to figure out who is responsible for that.

The promo was there with the film but many multiplexes didn't even wait for the end credit titles to finish.

" The good news though is that instead of crying over spilt milk, the makers have decided to bring the promo online and make it go viral via social networking. Some smart thinking this one!
