Was the most saleable name of 'Raaz 3', Emraan Hashmi, ignored?

IndiaGlitz [Saturday, September 08, 2012]

In-house drama in the team of 'Raaz 3' continued till the day of release.

While there has been a flip-flop around Esha Gupta performing nude in the film and then the buzz being that it's her body double who has actually done the needful, some out there have felt that Bipasha Basu was the actor who was the chosen one for the film's promotion and marketing.

With the film's most saleable name being Emraan Hashmi, isn't that a little strange that apparently he wasn't as much a part of the film's publicity plans as Bipasha?

"See, the whole thing is about presenting each and every actor and character in the film", defends Vikram Bhatt, "Hence I would disagree that Emraan was ignored.

We started off with Bipasha but there was never a call taken that Emraan would be sidelines. In fact he was a part of the whole planning and discussions right from the beginning."

He reveals that it was a joint taken taken by all involved, including Emraan who was a part of all the meetings, that the film would be presented as a platform for Bipasha to excel. Well, at least to begin with.

"We had to begin with Bipasha because she is the force that starts all the horror.

As for Emraan and Esha, they were there right through the promotional tours and other events. Come on, the last thing we would have liked to do is to shortchange anyone.

Bhatt saab, Mukeshji and I have been around for many years to know that it would be unfair", he says.
