Mo'Nique settles lawsuit

The Precious star's landlord launched a legal battle against the actress and her husband Sidney Hicks last year (11) over allegations they walked out on their lease agreement and still owed $370,000 (GBP231,250) in unpaid rent on their Georgia home.

The 44 year old fired back with a suit of her own, asking a judge to release the couple from its $22,000 (GBP13,750)-a-month tenancy agreement over claims the house smelled like dog urine and faeces.

Both parties came to an undisclosed agreement last week (begs27Aug12) and dropped the two suits, according to TMZ.com.
