Years from now, when historians and Poli Sci majors look back at the game-changing  2012 Vice Presidential debate between Veep  Joe Biden  and GOP candidate  Paul Ryan, they will discuss how the meeting of the men didn't come down to their thoughts on foreign policy or women's rights or even the struggling economy. No, it came down to which one of them made the better gif or meme.

Early polls have shown that VP Biden charged ahead thanks to his firm stance on ""malarkey"" and ""...stuff,"" but that's not to say Congressman Ryan didn't spin some Internet gold himself. What with all that bean talk and wondering why he should have to separate his private life from his personal life. (Spoiler alert: It's in the Constitution!) While we won't know how much of an impact the debate between Biden and Ryan will have had on the campaign until Election Day, we know one thing for sure: they both make for excellent meme material.
