IndiaGlitz [Friday, February 21, 2014]

'It is very difficult to get a script approved from my family' - as principal my husband Manirathnam is there and my son Nandan also looks at it. The one I prepared for an English film was not approved by my husband - this is Suhasini Manirathnam talking to this correspondent in a flashy interview after the formal media address at Kanteerav studios on Thursday afternoon. Suhasini plays the role of a mother of autism child Master Snehith in 'Sachin....Tendulkar Alla' in the direction of writer, director and actor Mohan.

On the promise she made to Dr Vishnuvardhana on the sets of 'Mathad Mathad Mallige' in Chennai a few years ago to take up direction in Kannada, Suhasini Manirathnam says there is no time to direction.

I have to allot time to my aged parents of 84 and 80. It is at this time I have to give care and affection she says turning down the direction part in her career.

On her son Nandan taking up philosophy Suhasini is quite happy. He is in to politics - he was admirer of Left movement and changed his school of thought to Right movement says the proud mother Suhasini.

Drawing her attention on the profession that has come in this birth of an artist Suhasini says it is for the good of previous birth we have done. On her latest Kannada film 'Sachin...Tendulkar Alla' - actress with high caliber Suhasini observed that it is a film with entertainment and some strong message.  Suhasini remembered the statement of Alfred Hitchcock on cinema and said good intentions of doing cinema is what made her to approve this film.

Two speedsters of Indian cricket Javagal Srinath in guest role and Venkatesh Prasad in a major role are part of this film. In fact Suhasini is the one who convinced Venkatesh Prasad to take up the role in Kannada film.
