'Baanadi' Mounts!

A comedy actor, writer, film acting school 'Banna' founder Nagaraj Kote has joined another Nagaraj of Dhruthi Cinema to make debut as director of 'Baanadi'.

'Baanadi' is based on the novel 'Usire' of Nagaraj Kote adapted to screenplay to suit the silver screen. It is about three generation of grandfather, son and grandson. Upbringing of children in the present socio, cultural environment is dealt strongly in the film. Nagaraj Kote selected a few child actors for his film that will be shot in Bangalore, Srirangapatna, Channapatna and other locales.

Dr Girish Kasaravalli sounded the clap board on Monday morning at Sri Maheshwari Temple and joined Dattanna, Rajesh Nataranga, Ramesh Pandit, Lahari Velu and producer Nagaraj to release the pigeons. 'Baanadi' means birds released to sky was a fitting thought of director Nagaraj Kote. Children performed for a song bit at the formal launch of the film.

Padmasri Girish Kasaravalli was honored on this occasion. GK wished good thought and purpose of Nagaraj Kote succeeds in the 'Kalathmaka, children commercial film' category.

Former child actor Karthik Sharma with good education in music and cinematography is scoring music for five songs. Sabha Kumar is man behind camera. Lahari Velu has given permission to use one of the Rathnan Pada for this film. Sri Purandaradasa Tatwapada is also part of the film.
