Adarsha Siri Gala Event

The disciplined and dedicated director of Kannada cinema S Narayan has shown it to others how an annual day function of a film institute could be made attractive to look.

It was ‘Adarsha Siri’ event on Wednesday evening at Chowdaiah Memorial Hall = five veteran director who served Adarsha Film Institute in the last 40 years were honored, outgoing 70 students received certificates from Dr Ambarish, actor and sitting minister of Housing. The tops of Kannada cinema industry Dr Ambarish, V Ravichandran, Dr Jayamala, Shivaramanna, Sudeep, Sunil Kumar Desai, Vijay, Lahari Velu, SK Bhagwan, Bullet Prakash, Mahesh Babu, Ramdas Naidu, Ajantha Raju, Sunil Puranik, attending the event proved S Narayan strength. All of them have worked under S Narayan direction.

Dr Ambarish grandson of violin maestro Chowdaiah at Chowdiah Memorial Hall Dr Ambarish addressed the gathering. S Narayan means ‘Yes’ always. There is ‘No’ for him. We have a good rapport and whenever, wherever S Narayan invite I go to his functions. Dr Ambarish coming to Adarsha Film Institute for the first time wished good luck to the students distributed certificates to outgoing talents.

‘I have acted in very good films in the past’ but ‘Drishya’ is much talked about V Ravichandran was amazed with the people of Karnataka for good response to ‘Drishya’.

Kichcha Sudeep arrived in the beginning and lighted the lamp to begin the activities for the day. Five veteran directors were honored on this occasion. Former students of Adarsha Film Institute Sunil Kumar Desai, Priya Haasan and others were present.

The 41st year Adarsha Film Institute program was memorable. It was real victory for Narayan from the event of five hours.
