Growing big with powerful performances increasing the bank balance is not only two important duties of an artiste. Reaching out with simplicity and humbleness in public life is what gives him a good position.
One such person in the senior supporting artiste fraternity is Srinivasamurthy. Recently he voluntarily took part in the 'Bhajan' (Shraddanjali Bhajan) arranged by Sri Veerendra Heggade on the occasion of his mother Smt.Rathnamma Heggade (aged 85) demise in a road accident near Belthangady. Although a sorrowful occasion Sri Dharmasthala Dharmadhikari Sri Veerendra Heggade appreciated veteran actor Srinivasamurthy's presence. Drawing his attention Srinivasamurthy told Sri Veerendra Heggade that the columns his mother in 'Manju Vaani' - 'Magaligondu Patra' (a letter to the daughter) is highly readable by men and women. Collecting tears in his eyes Sri Veerendra Heggade said the similar words were expressed by Rashtrakavi Kuvempu once.
Srinivasamurthy making himself free from busy schedule had a pilgrimage tour to Katil, Udupi, Hosanadu (Sri Annapurneshwari temple built by Jayarama Shetty at Kotyadka at a cost of Rs.15 crores) similar to Horanadu and prior to this Srinivasamurthy was honored at Surathkal Chandrasekhara Navada Dance School 20th year celebration. He returned from his week long pilgrimage trip via Kukke Subramanya to Bangalore.
