 The much awaited Anti Goonda Piracy Act has been introduced by State cabinet on Saturday afternoon in Bangalore. This is going to check the piracy operators in the state severely. Minimum of six months no bail warrant and fine will be imposed on piracy operators. The key area for piracy SJP Road, National market and Burma Bazar have closed down their shutters with the announcement of the cabinet decision in Bangalore.
"We have won a major battle" says Thulsiram Naidu alias Velu with a sigh of high relief after hearing the news of Anti Piracy Act introduction in Karnataka. This would definitely bring in Rs.40 crores of revenue to the government in the form of tax. The audio business in the state that has crashed to Rs.50 crores would shoot up to Rs.150 to 200 crores. The Lahari Recording Company in the business with 14000 titles welcome this step of the Karnataka government headed by H.D.Kumaraswamy says Velu. Many chief ministers have come and gone but the credit for saving the life of audio houses in Karnataka goes to chief minister Kumaraswamy. He is also the filmdom personality. He has understood it right complimented Velu. All the sick audio houses will revive and make good business hopes Velu.
This Anti Piracy Act is in existence in some of the southern states too.
