As the inauspicious Ashada Masa is fast approaching in the last one week 11 Kannada films went on the floor in which nine films are from new producers. Prior to this week four films went on the floor and a dozen films are expected to go on floor before 10th of July. With this speedy scale of films going on floors it is expected that nearly 120 films would be released by the end of December 2007.

From Tuesday (19th June) to Monday (25th June) 11 films went on the floors. They are –

1. 'Yuga Yugagale Saagali' by debutant director Shashankran who is of the opinion that love has two angles. Yash (Naveen), Megha Gosh and Alisha are in the cast of this film. Vasanthkumar is the producer of this love story film.

2. 'Baa Bega Chandamama' – A film by director B.H.Murali in his debut is also scoring music for trio producers Kumaraswamy, Harish and Naasimhaiah. Deepak and Suhasini star in this musical love story that starts from comedy and ends in love.

3. 'Rajakumari' starring Balaji, crazy star Ravichandran, Kanniha by producer K.Manju is directed by Govindu of 'Joot and Bhoopathy' fame. Venkatesh a long time friend of K.Manju is the partner for this film. Joshi Makarand is the cameraman while Harikrishna scores music for six songs.

4. Production No.1 of producer Kantharaj is a cute love story starring Prajwal and Andrita Ray. Janardhana Maharshi has penned the story for this film. With two hits Akash and Arrasu director Mahesh Babu is looking for hat trick from this film. Mahesh Talkad is the cameraman and V.Manohar has scored the music.

5. 'Right Adhre' by director Sharavana Ravikishore is about dream and reality. There are no big star cast in this film. Srinivas is the producer. Neel is the music director.

6. 'Hrudaya I Miss You' a film by real estate businessman Gopi is the debut direction of Sathya. This is a triangular love story has music by Ramshaker of Mumbai who has given music for Hindi film 'Astha'. Shreyas and Maithreyi are heading the cast.

7. 'Ayogya' by debutant director Parthasarathy for the production of his brother Raghunath is about a ruffian who transform as a soft and sensible. Dilip Pai and Anu Mehta (Arya Telugu film and Ajay Kannada film) are in the lead roles. Kolar Zilla parishad head C.R.Narasimha Murthy is playing the villain role in this film. Valisha and Sandeep score the music for this film.

8. 'Gaalipata' by SPR Productions maiden venture in Kannada is directed by 'Mungaru Male' fame director Yogaraj Bhat went on the floors at Kanteerava outdoor stadium. The bigwigs of the Kannada film industry graced the occasion. Actor cum director Sudeep directed the maiden shot for 'Gaalipata'. Golden star Ganesh, eminent playback singer Rajesh Krishna and Diganth took part in the muhurut shot. Daisy Boppanna, Neethu, Ananthnag, Rangayana Raghu are in the cast. The film is all about the mind set of 16 to 30 age groups says Yogaraj Bhat. Rathnavelu is the man behind camera and Harikrishna scores the music. Dayal is the executive producer of this Rs.6 crore venture.

9. 'Lokave Helidha Mathidu' by director Ramana for producers Mounesh and Muniswamy is an attempt to put an end to rowdyism. Raviteja and Anitha star in this film. Venkat and Narayan score the music.

10. 'Marabhoomi' by director Rishi is about the travails of a youth who has fallen in love with a girl. Sanjeev who plays adolescent role in 'My Autograph' of Sudeep is in the lead. Sunitha Shetty who has appeared in small roles is the heroine from this film. 10 days of this film shooting will be held in Rajasthan. This is a musical film too says director Rishi who made 'Surya the Great'. Madhura is scoring the music.

11. 'Neenyaare' the 100th film music direction by V.Manohar is the debut for director Shashi Sindhoor. Sooraj  who made his debut in 'Shivani' is in the lead with debutant Ramya Barna. Chandrasekhar is the producer of this film. This is a journey of emotions packed with love says Shashi.
