Karthiga, who replaced Bhavana in director Bala's much-hyped Naan Kadavul, plays the role of a blind beggar in the movie. The shooting for the movie is on at Periyakulam and Kumbakarai areas.

Recently Karthiga fell ill and was rushed to Chennai. She was down with viral fever and underwent immediate medical attention.

Buzz is that the actress has recovered from the fever and is all ready to resume shooting for the movie.
