'Payana' means journey. It is the love journey of famous comedian in small screen Ravishanker and beautiful actress Ramanithu Chaudhary in the film 'Payana' taken up by director Kiran Govi for producer Venkatesh.

Ramanithu Chaudhary who appeared in films like 'Pallakki' and 'Beladingalagi Baa' plays an NRI girl meet the dream boy hailing from middle class family in this film. The middle class youth in the film 'Payana' played by Ravishanker (shot in to fame from famous television serial 'Silli Lalli' in the role of Dr.Vittala Rao) has been waiting for a long time to play a full length role on big screen.
