One of the best directors of this country Mr K.Raghavendra Rao of 100 plus Telugu films director was given a touching felicitation at the silver jubilee fete year of Kannada Film Directors Association on Sunday evening at Dr.Ambedkhar Bhavan in Bangalore.

The Karnataka Chief Minister B.S.Yediyurappa and Information minister Khatta Subramania Naidu did the honors to the veteran director that received maximum of applaud from the huge attendance.

Speaking after doing the felicitation the Karnataka chief minister said the government is contemplating on opening up a Dr.Rajakumar Cinema University and a Film Complex with private participation to meet the global market. The industry people would be considered in these aspects said the chief minister. The government of Karnataka is committed to all developments of Kannada cinema and for the celebration of diamond jubilee we would join hands with the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce informed the popular chief minister of the state B.S.Yediyurappa.

Rebel star Ambarish the sitting MP expressed the happiness that the sitting Chief Minister of this country B.S.Yediyurappa is from his home district in his speech. Ambarish recalling the days of 'Simha Balludu' and the days of working with KR in 'Sri Manjunatha' lauded the great human being for his working style.

The Kannada Film Directors Association President S.V.Rajendra Singh Babu highlighted the activities of the KANFIDA and urged for support of Rs.1 crore for the Rs.5 crore project of the association. The setting up of Dr.Rajakumar Cinema University and Film Complex were also the suggestions made by S.V.Rajendra Singh Babu.
