Without picking any incidents from the life of super cop of the country Kiran Bedi the Kannada film 'Kiran Bedi' starring Kannada cinema lady bond Malashri has completed shooting. 'We have taken the permission to keep the title from the highly respected cop of this country says producer Ramu who is producing the 25th film of his banner that is starred by his charming wife Malashri in the title role.
Getting thinner for this film 'Kiran Bedi' was a tough task for me says Malashri who is bouncing back in an action extravaganza after 'Durgi' made three years ago. Malashri has taken part in five stunning action scenes and the cost of action portions has come to nearly Rs.3 crores for Ramu Enterprises. She has taken part in chase scenes and there are some splendid dialogues too. The only apprehension crept in my mind is whether I will be accepted after a long gap by the audience. That doubt has been cleared by the director giving new shades to perform says Malashri addressing the media on the completion of her lifetime ambition to do a film in the name of 'Kiran Bedi'. This is the first time I have worked with a great action films director N Om Prakash Rao and my every moment on the screen is directed by him complimented Malashri.
Shot in 120 days the action portions took nearly 70 days informed the talented director N.Om Prakash Rao. I am honored to direct the 25th production of the most prestigious banner of Kannada cinema Ramu Enterprises says Om Prakash Rao. This is the most expensive cinema I have ever directed in my career of 24 films and there is no doubt that 'Kiran Bedi' is the first highest budget cinema of Kannada film history says Om Prakash Rao. This is the fourth film Rao has directed for Ramu Enterprises.
I do not think on small budget movies in my career says Ramu who is nicknamed as 'Koti Ramu'. 'Kiran Bedi' started in last November has nearly 30 artists and technicians have contributed tremendously for the film. One of the team members Sarigama Viji was severely injured and the medical expenses amount to nearly Rs.5 lakhs is met says Ramu who intends to release 'Kiran Bedi' during the Pongal festival in January 2009.
The senior character artist Srinivasamurthy is playing the role equivalent to a hero in this film 'Kiran Bedi'. In the 33 years of film career I have acted as hero in nearly 30 films and now it is a compliment that I am hero says Srinivasamurthy.
