Priyadarshan’s, Prakash Raj-starrer ‘Kanchivaram’ won the National Award this year and now the director is back to business in Bollywood. We earlier had it that Priyan is making a film titled ‘Khatta-Meetha’ in which our Trisha is pairing with action star Akshay Kumar.

When asked about the story of ‘Khatta-Meetha’, sources close to the film said that, it is a script based on a real life incident. The gruesome murder of an engineer named Yogendra Pandey in Bihar, that happened some years ago, which is alleged to have been conspired by a municipal contractor is the skeleton of ‘Khatta-Meetha’.

On the other hade we hear stories that it’s a remake of a popular Malayalam film ‘Vellanakalude Nadu’ which hit the screens in 1990. Mohanlal and Shobana played the lead roles in the film.

Priyan who launched Trisha here is launching her in Hindi too. If in ‘Khatta-Meetha’ becomes a BO hit, nothing can stop the actress.
