The pride of Kannada cinema 'Pranayaraja Srinath' at the 24th 'Belli Hejje' of Karnataka Chalanachitra Academy at Badami House called upon the young battalions to give attention to good script and good making. The quality work could only save the sagging image of the Kannada cinema industry he felt.

Dr Srinath the actor of over 400 films from Lagna Patrike to Bagirathi in a span of over 35 years in Kannada cinema industry is also recognized as a politician of BJP today.

What is required for the abundant money that is spent today on films is the sincerity and hard work of yesteryears he says. Dr Srinath disclosed how he was crazy after watching and hearing the song 'Del Dekho Dekho....' in 1961. It took a long time for me to establish in Kannada cinema. Success was not easy. It made me to get preparation after 35 films. I should thank KSL Swamee and Shivaramanna for getting a good break in 'Shuba Mangala' of doyen director SR Puttanna Kanagal recalled Srinath.

'Madhura Milana' my first film as hero was made in a cost of Rs.1.15 lakhs. Today 15 lakhs is spent daily. The Kannada cinema industry is economically strong but not in quality of films. Puttannaji punished me with three pages dialogues without talking to me on the sets but I won his heart with good performance Dr Srinath recalled.

Working in Puttanna Kanagal films was like learning in a university and it also gave me the stardom for me. Dr Srinath drawing his attention on the youths coming to cinema said they should follow the over confidence with bright intelligence. Then only it is possible to sustain.

Dr Srinath released the souvenir on this occasion and inaugurated the photo exhibition of his life sketch at Badami House in the premises of Karnataka Chalanachitra Academy.
