The Karnataka chief minister DV Sadananda Gowda has increased the number of awards of Rs.25 lakh from two to four films in a year at the inauguration of the 7th International Children film festival at Arasu Bhavan on Monday. Actress Ragini and Kichcha Sudeep were the chief guests at this event.
The government of Karnataka is giving many aids to the Kannada cinema industry and further increasing the best children film was welcomed by everyone. According to Karnataka chief minister DV Sadananda Gowda the children films are finding good placement in the national and international level compared to other quality films.
Children India head NR Nanjunde Gowda is heading the 7th international children film festival. 88 children films from 13 countries in 16 languages are part of this festival. Films on environment, Iran films and animation workshop are also conducted.
Bla Bhavan, Adarsha, Venkateshwara at Avalahalli. Navrang, Kailash, Seva Sadhana, Goverdhan, Suchitra and CRPF campus are screening the children films.
KFCC President KV Chandrasekhar, SA Ra Govindu, Balavikas Academy chairman Mahesh Thenginakayi, Syria actor Sulapha Columbia child actor Hizaji were present at the inaugural.
Actress Ragini present at this inauguration walked out from the event when her speech was asked to cut short as the chief minister DV Sadananda Gowda arrived to the dais.
