50 crore defemation on KFPA

The Kannada Film Producers Association is facing Rs.50 crore defamation case today morning at High Court of Karnataka from advocate Dhananjaykumar who is on behalf of Apex Body Karnataka film Chamber of Commerce.

The Kannada Film Producers Association alleged in an advertisement released on Sunday morning that KFCC members have taken bribe and allowed non Kannada films releases on 13th of January in over 100 theatres. That has curbed the theatres for two releases of Kannada films 'Ko Ko Koli Kothi and Sidlingu'.

The KFPA in a quarter page advertisement stated that KFCC is very disturbing to the producers in the issues of registration of new producers, title registration, censor issue, 100 percent tax exemption and release of ads issue in newspapers KFCC is not supporting and harping on freedom of Kannada films. Instead of giving justice to Kannada films it is supporting non Kannada films for the business in Karnataka is like pickles. For Kannada film the home ground is the only place to earn from Kannada films.

To condemn the stand of KFCC the KFPA is organizing a Dharna and burning effigies of those who are against to the stand of Kannada producers. KFPA has given call for all Kannada organizations to support the fight against survival of Kannada films.
