In support of the Film Federation of India bundh call to protest the Service Tax the Apex Body of Kannada cinema industry KFCC has extended support and decided to halt all activities on February 23.

The KFCC President KV Chandrasekhar addressing the media said that there will be no activities on this day. The KFI will take out a procession from Freedom Park to Raj Bhavan to submit a memorandum to Governor of Karnataka Hansaraj Bharadwaj.

The service Tax should be collected from the exhibitors and not tax the producer is the observation of KFCC President. However the proposed hike is taxing the producer is wrong stated KV Chandrasekhar who represents the Exhibitor sector as President of KFCC.

There are a few other types of taxes remitted to government and this is additional burden feels KVC.
