Saran to direct Vishal?

Director Saran, the man who is credited for giving many hits to Ajith ('Kadhal Mannan', 'Attagasam' and 'Amarkkalam'), is maintaining a low profile after the failure of 'Aasal'. But the filmmaker is now getting ready to make a comeback.

If sources are to be believed, he recently met Vishal and narrated a story to him. "Vishal is impressed with Saran's script and expressed his interest to act in it. Plans are on to rope in Nayantara as the heroine," sources say.

Remember Vishal and Nayantara had worked together earlier in 'Sathyam', which featured the former in the role of a tough cop. The new film, however, is said to be a romantic entertainer loaded with action and comedy.

While some say that the yet-to-be-titled project will be produced by Saran's home banner itself, others say the movie will be produced by Udhayanidhi Stalin's Red Giant Movies. An official confirmation is yet to be made.
