The veteran director of Kannada cinema with over 50 years of career SK Bhagwan known as 'Dorai Bhagwan' in the yesteryears heading the Adarsha Film Institute (AFI) as principal has given his students to come out with three short films so that their practical ability is provided and their effort is known in the end product.

Adarsha Film Institute one of the longest surviving film institute in Karnataka is nine years old compared to Vijaya Film Institute that has recently completed 30 years of existence.

SK Bhagwan heading the AFI since a long time has identified lot of good talents and introduced them to Kannada cinema and television world. Golden star Ganesh is the product of this institute. Priya Hassan, Nagendra Prasad and others have got trained under SK Bhagwan.

Like in the previous years the short films pattern to know the strength of outgoing students three projects are given to the students of AFI.

'Baaba Mahime, Soothra and Naughty Naradha' scripts have been approved by SK Bhagwan. Naveen Somanahalli and Sanjiv Reddy are debutant directors of the three short films.

Old students of the institute Priya Hassan a popular actress, producer and director today, ace lyricist Nagendra Prasad took part in the muhurut shots for the three short films.

AFI students Suprith is handling the camera, Chandru in editing, Sathya is music director while Ambarish, Chandana, Sadashiva, Shivadutta, Thippe Swamy, Venu, Yogesh, Sowmya, Harshith and Rekha are in the cast of the three short films.
