Boasting off a huge budget 'Naan Ee' is one of the most awaited releases in Andhra Pradesh as the film is helmed by SS Rajamouli who knows commercial cinema like the back of his hand. The film marks his launch pad in Tamil cinema. It stars Nani and Samantha, both stars who are popular in TN & AP in the lead roles, with Kannada star Sudeep as the antagonist. The movie has a good dosage of graphics and is about the hero who reincarnates as a house fly to avenge his death. It will release simultaneously on May 30.
Neethanae En Ponvasantham
This film is more than just a bilingual! It's a trilingual being simultaneously canned in Tamil - Hindi and Telugu. The film is releasing in Telugu as 'Yeto Velli Poyindhi Manasu' and in Hindi as 'Assi Nabey Poore Sau'. It has Samantha as the lead lady in all three versions and Jiiva, Aditya Roy Kapoor and Nani as the lead respectively. Directed by Gautham Menon it has music by Maestro Ilayaraja. The film sees the lead in three stages of life and is an out and out romantic entertainer. It will bring together Gautham and Ilayaraja, two love specialists for the first time ever.
Top notch director Selvaraghavan delivered a single direct film in Telugu, 'Aadavari Matalaku Ardhalu Verule', featuring Venkatesh and Trisha. The film went to become a blockbuster and was remade in Tamil as 'Yaradi Ne Mohani' by Mithran Jawahar. He is back to Telugu cinema after 2007 with this bilingual featuring Arya and Anushka Shetty. 'Irandam Ulagam' will release in Telugu as 'Brindavanomlo Nandakumaradu'. Anushka is red hot in Tamil and Telugu cinema and this bilingual is touted to feature them in dual roles and is said to be a time travel flick.
Yet-to-be-titled Gopichand - Nayantara film
This is the first Tamil flick Nayantara signed post her break up with Prabhu Deva. This yet-to-be-titled project will be helmed by Bhoopathy Pandian and features Gopichand as the lead; it will mark his foray in Tamil cinema. It's said to be an action entertainer that sees Gopichand as a cop and the shooting is taking place in a full swing. Thaman S is composing the tunes for this project.
Yen Endraal Kaadhal Enben
This bilingual releases simultaneously in Telugu as 'Endukante Premanta'. Rumour mills are working overtime that Tamannah has bid an adieu to Tamil films, and this film will probably be her answer to them... It will mark Telugu actor Ram's debut in Tamil. GV Prakash has composed the tunes for this romantic flick.
Ace Raja Rani & Joker
This film is touted to be Indian cinema's first ever full length 3D comedy flick. Directed by Anil Sunkara the movie has an ensemble of stars in the lead and the film was recently in news for Shaam has gone nude for a scene in this flick. The above is a still from the movie launch pooja...
MM is directed by Kumar Nagendra and is produced by Lakshmi Manchu. It features Aadhi and Taapsee Pannu in the lead roles and is loosely based on the 1980s floods and has a love story intertwined with it. Sudeep and Lakshmi Manchu will be seen in pivotal roles and Suja Varunee will be seen in flashback scenes with Aadhi. It will release in Telugu as 'Gundello Godavari'.
Allu Sirish and Amala Paul will be seen in a Tamil - Telugu bilingual titled 'Gowravam'. Earlier, Nag Chaitanya and Varalakshmi Sarathkumar who is awaiting the release of 'Podaa Podi' were set to work together for this flick. Now Allu Sirish and Amala Paul will be seen in the lead roles as his production house, Geetha Arts is producing this flick. Remember Amala is a popular face with good fan following in both the Tamil and Telugu film industries? Amala Paul has been approached by director Radha Mohan but the actress is yet to sign on the dotted lines.
Yet-to-be-titled Jayam Ravi & Amala Paul venture
If Kollywood insiders are to be believed, Jayam Ravi will be teaming up with director Samuthirakani for project which will be produced by KS Sreenivasan's Vaasan Visual Ventures. It will be a bilingual in Tamil - Telugu. It is further said that Amala Paul has been signed to play Jayam Ravi's lady love in this bilingual. Rumour mills also have it that she has been signed in for this role for a huge price of Rs 80 lakhs! If this is true we can expect the actress to touch the prestigious 1 crore mark soon...
