Remember Atul Kulkarni, the menacing villain of 'Run' and 'Padikathavan'. The Marathi actor is back in Tamil cinema after a break. He is playing a crucial role in 'Vallinam', a film starring Nakul in the lead.
Being directed by Arivazhagan of 'Eeram' fame, 'Vallinam' is produced by V Ravichandran of Aascar Films. It is about a volley ball player, who comes up in his career after successfully crossing many a hurdle.
"The film is taking shape fast and Nakul and Mridula play lead. Atul Kulkarni is playing a crucial character. His performance will be one of the highlights of the movie," says Arivazhagan.
He adds: "Though volley ball forms the backdrop of the story, the film will speak about the sports scenario in general. Thaman, who composed music for my debut flick Eeram, is scoring for Vallinam as well. The movie will be a mix of friendship, romance and action."
