Emraan has being making it bigger and better for himself year after year. With 'Jannat 2' opening quite good and holding on reasonably well, he has done well all over again. Now that's especially tremendous in the times when a few recent multi-crore extravaganzas (Tezz, Players) have found it tough to last beyond a week.

"This shows the kind of fan following that Emraan has managed to accumulate," says an expert, "The only actors who have enjoyed such huge numbers this year are Hrithik Roshan (Agneepath), Akshay Kumar (Housefull 2) and Saif Ali Khan (Agent Vinod) whose films took a bigger opening. Now these are the men who have been in the industry for so long whereas Emraan has been around for much lesser duration."

Amongst the young ones, Ranbir is still ruling from the top as his 'Rockstar' took a much bigger opening of 34 crores weekend. However, 'Jannat 2' (24 crores) is neck to neck with 'Mere Brother Ki Dulhan' which, at 26 crores, took the biggest opening ever for Imran. However one has to also look at the fact that the Yash Chopra production was a far more expensive affair though whereas the costs of 'Jannat 2' have been recovered within the first two days of its release itself.

With a continued streak of successes like 'The Dirty Picture', 'Murder 2', 'Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai 2' and 'Dil Toh Baccha Hai Ji' behind him, Emraan is already looking forward to 'Shanghai' and 'Raaz 3', both of which are carrying superb pre-release reports.
