Already two years of Karnataka state awards pending for giving away one of the years 2009-2010 state award will be presented on Tuesday, 15th of May by Karnataka chief minister DV Sadananda Gowda.

The 2009-2010 awards evening at Gnanajyothi Sabanghana of central College Bengaluru will also see the national award winners of that period - Manu Chakravarthy for his film write up, Puttakkana High Way, Bettada Jeeva and Hejjagalu producers and director receive the awards.

The 2009-2010 award committee panel headed by Dwarakish submitted the report to the government of Karnataka on 19th of October 2011.

The state best actor award for 2009-2010 goes to Dr Vishnuvardhana posthumously for his chilling triple role in 'Aptha Rakshaka' his last but one film of his career in films.

The best actress award Anu Prabhakar for 'Pareekshe', the annual Dr Rajakumar award to veteran actor RN Sudarshan while prestigious SR Puttanna Kanagal award veteran director CV Shivashanker, Lifetime Achievement award given in the name of Dr Vishnuvardhana to SD Ankalgi the maker of first cinemascope film that starred Dr Vishnuvardhana in it, the first, second and third best film awards goes to - Rasa Rushi Kuvempu of Rithvik Simha, MANASAARE of Yogaraj Bhat, LOVE GURU of director Prashanth Raj a debutant and twenty others receive the awards from Karnataka chief minister DV Sadananda Gowda.

Mr Roshan Baig, R Ashok, Smt Thara Anuradha, KCA chairperson, KV Chandrasekhar President of KFCC will be present at the state award evening that starts at 5.30 pm on 15th May 2012.

This is once again 2009-2010 awards announced in 2011 is given in 2012! A similar situation happened in the past.
