For the already announced 2010-2011 Karnataka state film awards, High Court of Karnataka has ordered a stay on presentation of awards.

Former KFCC President Basanthkumar Patil whos is producer of 'Bettada Jeeva' and actress cum producer and director Priya Hassan of 'Bindhaas Hudugi' filed a petition on injustice to their films. Justice S Abdul Nazeer has issued an order that the list submitted to government of Karnataka has to wait for the final order and stayed the awards.
