Legal notice to Big B, Salman, Kareena & Priyanka - IPL

IndiaGlitz [Friday, July 20, 2012]

B-town stars Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan, Kareena Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra of late have received legal notices, owing to their obscene dance performances at IPL 5 opening ceremony held this year in April at Chennai.

The notice was issued following a petition filed by advocate K Jebakuma at the Madras High Court bench in Madurai.

According to him, the dance and performances of the celebrities were "obscene and lascivious, appealing to prurient interest."

International pop star Katy Perry (who was special celebrity performer at the inaugural event), cricketer Doug Bollinger and IPL Commissioner Rajiv Shukla, BCCI chief N. Srinivasan and a SET MAX official are also reported to be in the list, to whom the legal notice have been sent.

The case hearing is slated for July 31, according to sources.
