In an interesting casting decision, popular serial star Asha Sharath has been signed to don the role of the heroine in the forthcoming Mohanlal film 'Karmayodha'. Directed by Major Ravi, the movie will have her in a shorter role, but as the lady lead to the superstar.

Asha Sharath who is also a classically trained dancer gained much popularity with her role in the TV serial called 'Kumkumappoovu' which is completing 200 episodes, this season. She will be also seen in an important role in the new film 'Friday' which is also ready for release.
