The Jnanapith Award winner Dr Girish Karnad a veteran actor in grand roles in Kannada and other language films returns to acting in a small and important role in 'Yaare Koogadali' - a film by Dr Rajakumar family banner.

The last film Dr Girish Karnad, writer, director, and actor figured was in 'Shabdamani' a patriotic film with actress Shruthi.

With such a long career to his kitty Dr Girish Karnad for the first time is in Dr Rajakumar family banner. He is working for four days in Samuthakani direction with power star Puneeth Rajakumar and others.

Dr Karnad acted in 'Ek Tha Tiger' the 150 crores collected biggest hit in Hindi. Dr Karnad hesitantly accepted the offer of Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif.  Either the money or the role should be good is the policy of Dr Karnad.

Yaare Koogadali is at the second schedule of shooting. Poornima Enterprises 'YK' is a remake of 'Poraali' Tamil film. The same film director is handling direction in Kannada.
