Tata, Birla, Ambani get 'Chakravyuh' in trouble

No baba no! We are not referring to the eminent industrialists; instead it's the song from Prakash Jha's 'Chakravyuh' that is attracting problems.

Buzz is that the forthcoming political thriller is facing trouble from the Censor Board owing to the film's song "Tata, Birla, Ambani Aur Bata, Sab Ne Hai Desh Ko Kaata."

The song, sung by Kailash Kher and featuring Abhay Deol, seems to have not gone down well with the Board, since it includes the names of top industrialists of the country, which apparently intends to defame them.

The song was rejected twice by the Board officials by referring to the same issue.

On the other hand, filmmaker Prakash Jha is of the opinion that they have used the names the noted personalities only for representational purposes and not to target any of them.

Stating in an interview, the director said that only when they decided to add a disclaimer to the song, stating that the names have been used symbolically and are not meant to cause any harm or disrespect to any individual or brand, did the censors finally agreed to pass the song.

Starring Arjun Rampal, Abhay Deol, Esha Gupta, Manoj Bajpayee, Kabir Bedi and Anjali Patil, 'Chakravyuh' hits the screens on 24th Oct 2012.
