B-town's ace director-producer Yash Chopra, 80, passed away Sunday evening (21 Oct), at Lilavati Hospital, Mumbai. He was admitted at the hospital after diagnosed with dengue some days back and he was kept under observation.
Chopra, who is known for giving blockbuster movies like 'Silsila', 'Kabhi Kabhi' and 'Chandni' among others, was working on his last directorial 'Jab Tak Hai Jaan' - starring Shahrukh Khan, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma. The legend had decided to retire after this film, which is slated to release next month on 13th Nov.
Several National awards, many Filmfare awards and not to forget Dadasaheb Phalke Award and the Padma Bhushan, Yash Chopra is someone who will be truly missed and is a huge loss for Indian cinema.
