Getting 'Metro' train to Bangalore was the mid 80's dream of late Shanker Nag younger brother of versatile actor Ananthnag is now the concept to pay tribute to the actor, director and producer Shanker Nag who passed away twenty two years ago in a road accident.

What is great coincidence is that the dream of Shanker Nag is slowly materializing in real life. The first stage of Bangalore Metro started function from MG Road to Byappanahalli.

An ardent fan of Shanker Nag, Shivakumar Sajjan wanted to bring out the film on silver screen on 9th of November, 58th birth anniversary of the actor. Graphic representation in the film of four and half minutes plus song shooting was not possible at the right time. So to give at least one song in memory of Shanker Nag on Thursday evening five auto drivers (Shanker Nag is popular among auto drivers after 'Auto Raaja') came to Green House Raj Milan to release the CD of one song in the film 'Metro'. MLA Narendra Babu also an actor in small and big screen was also present on this occasion.

MG Raaj in his debut cinema recalling his journey with the film said it is the absolute wish of software engineer cum producer Shivakumar Sajjan to give tribute in one way or the other. We are doing a film on the dream of Shanker Nag. He had even spent Rs.8.5 lakhs for this 'Metro' project after his London trip. The song dedicated to auto drivers and late Shanker Nag 'Autone Devaru....is written by Dr V Nagendra Prasad is sung by Shanker Mahadevan.

AT Ravish is scoring music for six songs. Shobaraj, Kote Prabhakar, Dharma have acted well in the comedy and villain mix of roles.

It is in this film actor Naveen Krishna imitated late Shanker Nag. After 'Dhimaku' I would say this is a dream film for me. We have not used any cheap gimmicks and not disturbed the image of Shanker Nag. It is a team effort to the core in 'Metro' says Naveen Krishna. Hardhika Shetty plays middle class homely role, Deepika Das is a glam girl with Santosh as pair.
